Social Security
WHAT COULD BE WRONG?
If the Veteran's Administration is vast, Social Security is even more difficult to maneuver. You may decide to visit the office yourself. In my case, the line was long. So long I didn't get into the building right away. Finally I got a number and took a seat. There was only one awkward incident while I was there, the gentleman was escorted out rather quickly. Once my number was called, I was not greeted. Instead I had to tell the clerk I was there to get the Death Certificate logged into the system. She took it from me, clicked away at her keyboard, found my son's information, typed a few things, and pushed the DC back at me. What could be wrong? I was traumatized by the events of this morning, and I pray none of you have to go through this. There is no excuse; having a bad day, not feeling well, or anything else ... the Death Certificate is a sacred document, in my opinion. Anyone who is handling this paperwork must deal with it respectfully.
